What actually happens inside a neural network, and how can you make an AI model perform better? On October 7th, LiU AI Society invites you to MonkeyMadness, an interactive deep learning workshop where you and your team will take on an image classification model and compete to build the best-performing version! MonkeyMadness is a fun way to try deep learning in practice, experiment with different strategies, and meet other people interested in AI. You definitely don’t need to be an ML expert to join. Basic knowledge is helpful, but absolutely not required! Gather your team and see if you can build the ultimate MonkeyNet! 🐒 Hope to see you there! Sign up here: https://lnkd.in/ddy4u6Uk
You’ll start with MonkeyNet, a model trained to classify 10 different monkey species. From there, it’s up to you to improve it. Spend your limited currency, Neural Nuggets, on strategic upgrades ranging from dataset augmentations and dropout layers to ensemble methods. At the end of the evening, each team will submit their best model to be evaluated on an external test set. The team with the best result takes the win! 🏆
